After a week of sore ribs, flu and working like crazy in spite of it, the big day has arrived!
Tonight, the team will appear at a press conference at the Walvis Bay Yacht Club along with the representative from the Guinness World Book of Records.
Various Namibian government officials and Municipal representatives have indicated that they will be attending.
Faxes announcing the event have gone out to international and local media agencies; however - as is not uncommon with the media - not many RSVPs have been received and it is anyone's guess how many people will arrive tonight.
The captain has written a report that in my view will silence many of his critics and I look forward to seeing the response it receives in the various Russian newsgroups that have commented on the expedition.
